Checking for broken links

May 30, 2012

There is a checklink utility put out by the W3C (W3C-LinkChecker) for checking for broken links. As soon as you have a Perl installation that works (cygwin with gcc/developer tools and perl will get windows users there.), you can get and install the package. I like to call it like so:

checklink -b -l url url > check.txt

One can get the perl module by going to the CPAN W3C-LinkChecker download page.

  1. Good post. I be taught something tougher on different blogs everyday. It is going to at all times be stimulating to learn content material from other writers and apply a little bit something from their store. I’d favor to make use of some with the content material on my weblog whether or not you don’t mind. Natually I’ll give you a link on your internet blog. Thanks for sharing.
